I’m Saleo, your local Raja Ampat guide. Saleo is a common family name here in the Raja Ampat islands. I was born and raised on Pam Bemuk, one of the many islands in Raja Ampat.
The word “oceans” needs no explanation—it’s what makes us so special: the crystal-clear waters, exotic marine animals, and gorgeous beaches. I love seeing visitors get excited about things we consider everyday life—swimming with sharks at the beach, watching us fish with rocks as bait, or simply enjoying fresh coconut with a beautiful seaside view.
If you listen closely, Saleoceans sounds like the word solutions, which reflects our commitment beyond tourism. Since the national grid doesn’t reach many of the islands here, we provide clean energy solutions to local communities. We’ve installed solar panels at homestays so you can enjoy peaceful nights without generator noise while helping to preserve the environment.
